A draft of a Quality Assurance Plan is prepared where we defined KPIs to monitor and evaluate the quality and progression of the Project. Moreover, we established internal and external Quality Assurance committees to assess the quality. Assessment reports will be produced by midterm and end of the project.&nbsp;CoMEM+ Internal Quality Assurance Committee (QAC): The QAC will be established to monitor and ensure project quality. It will be comprised by a representative from each partner institution. The QAC will define the Quality Assurance Plan including a series of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as metrics to ensure the quality and progress of the project. The QAC will perform regular quality assessment throughout the duration of the project to verify the quality of the curriculum and its content, the efficiency and impact of trainings and teaching material. This will be achieved by a series of surveys and feedback from students and academic staff. The results will be utilized, and suggestions will be put forward to CoMEM+ Joint Programme Board (JPB) for review and implementation. These revisions and developments will be described and depicted in a mid-term and final report.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;CoMEM+ External QA and Advisory Board (EQAB): The members of EQAB are external professionals representing industry, academics, and Alumni. They monitor and evaluate the programme against new evolving developments and challenges in the field and the needs of industry with regards to recruitment and competencies. They will also have access to internal reviews, evaluations and surveys. They provide valuable recommendations to the JPB. The Consortium will organize annual symposiums (either on campus or online) to encourage networking and dissemination of results. The members of EQAB will convene their meeting during the annual symposium. They will have the opportunity to meet the partner representatives and the associated partners. The appointed chair for the EQAB will present their recommendations to the JPB.

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master programme&nbsp;(EMJM) in Coastal and Marine Engineering and Management (CoMEM+) is a unique international 2-year MSc programme with European Mobility comprising a minimum of 120 ECTS. It is jointly offered by five leading European universities:1) Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway;2) Caen Institute of Civil Engineering and Construction (ESITC), France;3) Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Spain;4) University of Caen Normandy (UNICAEN), France; and5) University of Genova (UNIGE), Italy. The 1st intake of students took place in the fall of 2022 where 16 students were admitted to the programme. The second intake of students took place in the fall of 2023 where 20 students were admitted to the programme. We are about to start recruiting for the third intake and we are increasing our efforts to attract more applicants through:<ul><li>Production of promotion materials (brochures, videos, testimonials, website, etc.)</li><li>Increase promotion activities (paid advertisements, social media, reach out to industry partners and alumni, make use of&nbsp;participation in e.g., Coastal list, PIANC, ICCE to spread the word about CoMEM)&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>

CoMEM+ integrates existing local programmes at the partner institutions - all awarding national master’s degrees. All local programmes are recognised and accredited in accordance with the consortium partners’ national legislation and quality approval councils and are mutually recognized by the Consortium. More specifically CoMEM+ is integrated within the following programmes for each partner institution:<ul><li>NTNU: integrated in the master programme in Civil and Environmental Engineering from which the majority of the courses are offered. The students interact mainly with Norwegian students, but also with exchange students, mainly from Europe. In the non-technical courses, the CoMEM+ students meet students from other disciplines including philosophy. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering manages and coordinates the CoMEM+ programme.</li><li>UPC: The courses offered for the CoMEM+ program are part of the curriculum of the master's degree in civil engineering of the UPC school of civil engineering.</li><li>UNIGE: CoMEM+ is integrated with the master programme in Environmental Engineering from which the majority of the courses are offered. The MSc in Environmental Engineering has a widespread distribution of Italian students and foreign students coming either from EU or third countries. The Polytechnic School, host of the MSc in Environmental Engineering has almost all the engineering specializations offering the opportunity to get in contact with experts in all the technical fields (from AI to turbines and fuel cells). The Department of Civil, Chemical and Environmental Engineering host the MSc in Environmental Engineering. </li><li>ESITC: CoMEM+ is fully integrated within the existing programmes. The selected courses include courses from the 5th year Maritime and River works option programme, and from the specialised master in Port and Coastal Engineering. </li><li>UNICAEN: CoMEM+ is integrated into post-graduate Coastal Engineering and Earth sciences Master of science coordinated by the Coastal and Continental Morphodynamic Research Laboratory (UMR CNRS M2C).</li></ul> At NTNU we have more than 10-years’ experience running a similar international master programme (i.e., CoMEM I 2007-2013 og CoMEM II 2013-2020). Based on this experience we believe that the 20-25 per year is quite suitable for the size of our academic environment.
