Fra 2020 finner jeg bare spørreundersøkelse (vedlagt) gjennomført av 4 studenter fra UiO-siden. Undersøkelsen preges av misnøye med emnets gjennomføring under korona, samt den faglige oppbyggingen. I dette årets referansegrupperapport nevnes det ikke spesifikt noen faglig misnøye - kan muligens tolkes som følge av tiltak.

Emnet ble dette semesteret gjennomført av Aleksander Tidemann (UiO) og Shreejay Shresta (NTNU). Studentene synes å være godt fornøyd med overordnet struktur. Noe misnøye med det tekniske utstyret, som kanskje kan forklares med at Portalen på Trondheims-siden ved semesterstart var plukket fra hverandre, og det krevdes en del innsats også fra studentenes side for å få hele systemet sydd sammen igjen til fungerende stand. Studentene foreslår bestått / ikke bestått som fremtidig vurderingsform. Ingen plan for tiltak behøves, da dette var siste gang emnet holdes.

Requires admission to the Master's Programme in Music, Communication and Technology, and completion of the course MCT4022 - Physical-virtual communication and Music 2

Faglig innhold

The aim of this course is to further develop communication technologies for the Portal, the audio-visual communication platform connecting the two campuses in Trondheim and Oslo. In addition the students shall transfer knowledge and skills to the first semester students of the programme.

Læringsformer og aktiviteter

The course will start with an intensive workshop to introduce the students to strategies for teaching others about advanced technological setups. The students will be assigned to groups that will be responsible for:<ul><li>Teaching system maintenance and documentation of the Portal.</li><li>Teaching how to record and document a public event in the Portal. In addition the students are expected to work on projects developing the Portal and present them in a trial lecture at the end of the semester.</li></ul>

Læringsutbytte

Knowledge: Having completed the course the student:<ul><li>masters pedagogical strategies for teaching others how to operate the Portal.</li></ul>Skills: Having completed the course the student:<ul><li>is able to integrate new technologies in the Portal, including setting up equipment, troubleshooting, and documenting the setup.</li><li>can run a large-scale public networking event in the Portal.</li><li>is able to conduct systematic evaluations of usability and user experiences.</li><li>is able to critically reflect on implications of technology in human communication, with respect to aesthetic and communicative factors.</li></ul>
