The course needs more structure and the learning outcomes needs to be more specific.The flexibility in the course so far is ok for a class of 10 students, but 30 students need more structure when it comes to projectwork.The academic essay need more guiding

The students finds the course interesting and ecpetially the visit to startUp firms. The students would like to have more structure on the work with the essay and the learning outcomes.

The lecturer should try to integrate/activate the researchgroup in Innovation and entrepreneurship in order to utalize them as a valuable recourse and guide the students in the direction of the foci of the research group.

Coordinating activities in the course with research group for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The subject has now more focus on entrepreneurship, this is reflected in the change of the course name from Innovation and entrepreneurship to "Introduction to entrepreneurship".The course is now clearly divided into two main themes:<ul><li>Entrepreneurship in practice </li><li>Textbook: "Disciplined Entrepreneurship", Aulet, B. 2013</li><li>Visit to incubator at ÅKP</li><li>Visit to two startup (Spinning energy and Ocean Visionering)</li><li>Workshop on Business model canvas</li><li>Assignment 1: a case study of how to use the MiT 24 step model on a practical case (Home coffee roastery business)</li><li>Entrepreneurship in theory </li><li>Textbook "Entrepreneurship in Theory and practice" Nilesen et al</li><li>Short course in searching in academic databases</li><li>Guest lectures from PhD students (Kristian Riksheim on Entrepreneurship and design thinking)</li><li>Guest lectures from staff (Kjersti Kjos Longva on Entrepreneurship education)</li><li>Assignment 2: a short literature review of newest entrepreneurship research from the ABS level 4 journals in Entrepreneurship</li></ul> In the previous versions of the course we have tried several options for the practical use of the MiT 24 step model:-2019 -Working with the students own business idea (Much of the time is used to find possible project, this created frustration among the students)-2020- Working with nascent entrepreneurs (Teams from "Næringsteft", "Digital" version, the teams have different quality and was difficult to follow up)-2021- Working with in house research projects (Grønn kai, zero emission cruise tourism, difficult to fit into the 24 step model)-2022- Working with a predefined case on evaluating the business opportunities for a home based coffee roasting service-2023- Plan to collaborate with the innovation leader in order to recruit "hot" projects from NTNU-discovery The focus in the course was in the beginning only on the practical side of entrepreneurship.Feedback from colleagues supervising master thesis's pointed to a lack of understanding the field of entrepreneurship research.

It seems that the student to a grate extent archives the actual learning outcome.The two mandatory assignments seem to work as filters, where those who are not so interested in the course do not hand in the assignments and retracts from exams. The structure of the course, with a clear lecture and activity plan with dates for the assignments should have been ready before the start of the semester.

The assignment with the literature review should have been presented in the entrepreneurship research-group. This in order to link the course closer to the work in the group and to include the students into the group activities. This would help directing the students towards research areas already focused in the group. This would have been very helpful in developing relevant themes for future master thesis.

The course is moving in the direction of a more entrepreneurship oriented course. That has been underlined by updating the learningoutcomes and the content of the portfolio exam.The emhasize on entrepreurship research is increased through the third assignment containing a small literature review. The students are very satisfied with the written feedback from all three assignments, however they would like more time for the assignments.

Based on feedback from last year's student the portfolio was adjusted from four to three assignments. The students seems satesfied with tha changes, but thre are still room for improvements by giving the students more time for the assignments. These dates should have been fixed from the beginning of semester, but there is also a need to coordinate with other courses so that the students do't get all assignments at the same time. The students got detailed feedback on all three assigments. There were some challenges with the group dynamics related to assignment 2, this needs to be adressed in detail at the beginning of the semester. The wish from the students to have more firm visits and guest lectures was partly met through the use of guest lectures from industry, however visits to firms was difficult due to the Covid restrictions. Assignment 3 where a detailed procedure for literature review was given, was appriciated by the students. Based on the portfolio exam it is my impression that the students achieved the learning outcomes and got good grades

The students was excited working with "real problems" in an ongoing research project. The suggested to use guest lectures for illustrating the core of the 24 step method and to clarefy this with the firm for the semester starts.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The subject was lectured digital this semester, thecontent was adjusted to fit a digital format.A digitally skilled teching assistant was very helpfull.The switch from working with students own business ideas to working with external startUps was very fruitful. Previously there have been some frustration amongst the students because they use much of the time in the subject to find a business idea.However, the actual startUps should have been clarified before the semester started. This process took too long time and gave the students too little time to work together with the firms.The number of assignments in the portfolio exam was to high (four) and should be adjusted to three.The feedback on the assignments made it possible to adjust the focus of the learning activities.It is my impression that the quality of AI521216 has improved this semester.

The learning outcomes are clearly communicated to the students and closely linked to the mandatory assignments.The student get feedback on all assignments and possibilities to improve the assignments before the final portfolio exam.The change from working/analyzing students own business ideas to external startUps was apprisiated by the students.

The learning activities are relevant for the learning outcomes.The students are motivated and the learning environment is good. All students participated in the online discussions.

The introduction of a portfolio exam was an improvment compared to the previous written school exam.
