Use the library databases

How to use the databases the NTNU University Library has access to, and how to connect to the network. This information is for students and employees.

Find the databases

The University Library provides access to a wide range of databases with research literature from different fields of study, as well as databases with standards, patents etc.

You can find the databases the library subscribes to via the search engine Oria. If you want to see a list of the available databases, click on “Databases (A-Å)” from the top menu, and search for a

  • title
  • type of journal
  • subject field

Use the databases

The library can help you learn how to search for literature, but you can also find help in the different databases.

Access the databases

Most of the databases the library provides access to are only available to you as long as you are on campus.

To use the library’s electronic resources outside of the NTNU network:

Connect to the network via VPN | Connect to the network via NTNU’s software farm

Print or download

You can print or download articles from the e-journals the library subscribes to in a number of the databases. All of the databases have literature references available that you can download to EndNote or BibTeX.
