Software information

The GISLINE platform is Norway's most complete system for handling geographical information. 362 municipalities use GISLINE daily to provide reliable and up-to-date map data - everything from securing socially critical systems, through reliable property sales, to finding the way to the nearest cinema.

Together with Kartverket (the Mapping Authority), Norkart develops QMS, Norway's defacto storage medium for geographical data.

License information

Volum license: Access limited and needs-tested volume agreement for a Dept./Faculty. For employees, as well as installation on some computer rooms.

Used by Faculty of Engineering (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Department of Manufacturing and Civil Engineering). Contact an IT responsible at the Faculty for details.

Note that the program can only be used for academic work and not for commercial work.
